Today has been torturingly boring. I can't stand boredom and having no plans for the day, it just drives me crazy. And an idle mind is like the perfect breeding ground for nonsensical thoughts. grrraaggghhhuuurrrgggggghhhhhhhh. ok now that the frustration due to the uneventful day has been let out, now to the main point of the post.

Been replaying I see grace for a number of times now, and the verse "I see you pierced, WOUNDED FOR ME.." just keeps playing in my mind. Jesus was wounded for us, physically and I'm sure it's emotionally too 'cos He loves us so much and yet so many turn away from him and reject His love. It just makes me think..are we willing to get ourselves wounded for someone else? And I'm talking not about a physical wound.

I believe that one of the reasons why I sometimes fail to love is because I'm afraid to be wounded. I don't wanna get hurt because it dang hurts. (;P) To open up to someone else is to let yourself be vulnerable. To be yourself involves putting yourself out there, all that you've got, vulnerable to judments, criticisms and dislikes. But at the same time, it can also invite love, genuine care and connection, praises and bonds/friendships which brings so much joy to a person's life. Take the good and leave the bad, who wouldn't want that eh? :) But no, it comes in a package. I have loads more to learn. When Jesus told us to love our enemies and to love those who mistreat us, I believe that it's hard to be done without getting a wound or two in the process of loving them. But that shouldn't stop us from loving and that shouldn't make us start practising the mirror personality instead where we only love those who loves us.

So let's get wounded together? ;P (And of course not deliberately getting yourself hurt 'cos that is just sheer foolishness) And not stop loving. 'Cos love can take wounds. 'Cos love is amazing like that - love covers over a multitude of sins.

And though I'll never be able to love like Jesus, God remove my fears and give me the strength to try.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4 : 8

"If I could have just one thing to say, I would tell you: "don't be afraid to love". -unknown.

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” Psalm 31 : 24

the joy of the Lord is me strength! :DDD
